Spatial Portal

We are working on adding new functionality to the BioAtlas.

The ‘Spatial Portal‘ is a Geographic Information Systems (GIS) and provides powerful visualization and analysis tools. The Spatial Portal focuses on where a chosen species was located, what species were found in a defined area and what are the environmental conditions in that area.

The Spatial Portal will allow you to add species occurrence records to maps along with environmental and contextual information to produce distributions, predictive models and charts of the relationships between biodiversity and the environment. You will also be able to import your own records and export maps and data sets.

This functionality is expected to be available during the winter 2018.
